Set a morning alarm

The next daily task on my son's planner is to set a morning alarm some time in the evening.

My son's sleep is variable and depending on the sleep he has had, he can find it hard to wake and get moving in the morning. A good way to start to regulate a sleep pattern is to try to get up around the same time each day. This task was to support him to remember to set his alarm for the next morning at a regular time.
Most people set alarms on their phone these days but some people prefer not to have their phone in their sleep space. I see there are more traditional digital bedside alarm clocks for sale now. However you set your alarms, it is good to try and set a morning alarm early on in the evening, before you are too tired and forget. Most phones have a way to schedule a morning alarm so that it goes off at the same time each day or you can set specific times for weekdays and weekends, if you want them to be different.

Some people set their morning alarm and then hit the 'snooze' button once or a few times before actually waking up. I worry that I won't hit the right button when setting it to snooze so I tend to set two alarms for the morning 1) to let me know it's morning time and 2) a second alarm to actually get up with. How we feel when we wake up varies from person to person. Some people wake up and have lots of energy and some people take a good hour to wake up properly.
Are you a morning person? How many alarms do you set? Any other morning wake up ideas? Please pop them in the comments below.
